Delivery &
lead times.
How your piece gets from our workshop in Rugeley to your home. Local deliveries in Staffordshire are done by us personally. Everything else ships via courier.
Lead time is confirmed when we quote, based on your project and our workshop schedule.
Every piece is delivered fully assembled. Local orders in Staffordshire come to you personally — we bring it in, help you position it, and make sure everything is right before we leave. For the rest of the UK, we use a courier to deliver the piece to your door.
Local
delivery.
For customers in Rugeley, Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth, Stafford, and the wider Staffordshire area, we handle delivery personally. This isn't a courier drop — we bring the piece ourselves, help you get it into the room and position, and check everything is exactly right before we leave.
This is one of the advantages of ordering from a local maker rather than a national retailer. If anything needs adjusting on the spot or you have a question about care, we can deal with it there and then.
- Fully assembled. Arrives ready to use — no assembly required from you.
- Positioned in the room. We'll help you get it to where it needs to go, not just to the front door.
- Date agreed in advance. We'll confirm a delivery date before the piece is finished and give you a time window on the day.
- Balance due before production. A 50% deposit confirms your order; the remaining 50% must be received before production starts. This applies to local deliveries too.
- No additional delivery charge for most local addresses. Confirm at enquiry stage for locations further afield.
Courier
delivery.
For deliveries outside of Staffordshire and the surrounding area, we use courier services. Larger or heavier pieces travel on a pallet. Smaller items — coat racks, shoe benches, side tables, and similar — may be sent via a single-person courier service where appropriate.
- Two-person team for large pieces. Wherever possible, larger pieces - dining tables, wardrobes, sideboards, and similar - are handled by two people to reduce risk of damage trying to manage alone.
- Single-person courier for smaller items. Coat racks, shoe benches, side tables, and smaller commissions may be sent via a single courier where size and weight allow.
- Fully assembled. Pieces arrive complete — no assembly or fitting required from you.
- Additional charges apply for Scotland, Northern Ireland, and some remote postcodes. We'll confirm the cost at quote stage — no surprises.
- Balance due before production. A 50% deposit confirms your order; the remaining 50% must be received before production starts.
- Inspect before signing. Do not sign for the goods unless you are satisfied they have arrived in good condition.

Arrived
damaged?
Here's what
to do.
If you can see visible damage before signing, refuse the delivery and contact us immediately. Once you sign for courier-delivered goods, the courier's liability ends — this is critical.
If damage is discovered after signing, photograph the damage clearly — the affected area, the packaging, and the delivery label. Do this before moving or unwrapping further. The more detail, the better.
Email us at hello@kingsleywoodwork.co.uk with your photographs and a description of the damage. We need to hear from you within 7 days of delivery to be able to act under our warranty and with the courier.
Do not dispose of the packaging until the matter is resolved. The courier will need to inspect it as part of any damage claim, and it will be needed if the piece has to be returned.
Once we've assessed the damage from your photographs, we'll confirm whether the piece can be repaired on-site, repaired in the workshop, or replaced. We'll give you a clear timeline and handle all communication with the courier.
International
shipping.
We do not offer international shipping. All deliveries are to mainland UK addresses only. This includes no delivery to the Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, or any overseas territories — no exceptions.
Additional charges apply for deliveries to Scotland, Northern Ireland, and some remote mainland postcodes. These will be confirmed at quote stage before any order is placed — you'll never receive an unexpected charge.
Questions about
delivery? Just
ask.
If you have a specific delivery question — an unusual access situation, a remote postcode, a tight deadline — get in touch before enquiring about the piece and we'll give you a straight answer.
