14-day window

Subject to 20% return fee plus delivery costs

We are a bespoke, made-to-order woodworking company and cannot accept cancellations or offer a full refund for orders after 24 hours of the order being placed, or for items that have already been delivered. Please ensure that you are satisfied with all design decisions, materials, and details before placing your order.

Orders for standard designs available on our website can be cancelled, partially refunded, and returned after 14 days at our discretion. All cancellations or returns will be subject to a 20% return fee, plus the cost of delivery and return delivery, and any other reasonable costs incurred by our company.

Bespoke orders: Non-refundable after 24 hours of the order being placed. Once an order has been placed, any alterations, administrative costs, and additional or updated design drawings will be charged to the buyer. We cannot be held responsible for any resulting delays.
02

Materials & finishes

Our products are made from natural materials and may contain characterful or natural traits such as small chip out, tear out, or marks from the machining and manufacturing processes in our workshop, knots, cracks, shakes, medullary rays, and natural colour variations. These features should be expected within each piece, and we cannot offer refunds, reimbursements, discounts, or compensation for such characteristics.

All wooden components may contain varied wood grain, colour variation, heartwood, sapwood, medullary rays, and knots. These are naturally occurring features and should be expected of any solid wood product.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to check that they are satisfied with the finish, material, and standard used by our workshop team to make the item. If the buyer would like to alter the above — for example, having knots filled with resin, or upgrading to prime grade oak or walnut — this must be specified prior to ordering. Changes to these standards are likely to alter the quoted or listed price.
03

Care & maintenance

It is the responsibility of the buyer to follow our Care Guide recommendations and keep or store their piece in a suitable environment. Our furniture is not suitable for outdoor use, use in bathrooms, humid environments, or environments with temperature fluctuations, unless specifically stated.

We endeavour to provide high-quality products and exceptional customer service. If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please notify us as soon as possible with detailed descriptions, photographs, and/or videos of any areas that are damaged or defective within 7 days of receiving the item. We will assess the fault and arrange to repair or replace the item as soon as possible.

We cannot be held responsible for changes in the wood due to environmental factors once delivery has been received. This would not be deemed a manufacturing fault under the terms of the item's warranty.
04

Design & planning

It is the buyer's responsibility to clarify any design, drawing, hardware, and material related queries prior to placing an order. All important design attributes and details should be stated by the buyer prior to ordering if they should be considered by us for quoting and manufacturing. All product photographs, example images, and any items or materials shown during the order process are for illustrative purposes only.

Dimensions: All our products can be made to measure, however we do not guarantee millimetre precision unless specified. The buyer should allow for +/- 25mm on all dimensions unless stated otherwise. If you require an exact size — for fitting into an alcove, for example — please specify that the measurement must be exact.

We cannot take responsibility for any item which doesn't fit or is too small if the measurement is under the 25mm tolerance. It is the buyer's responsibility to take and provide accurate measurements to ensure the item is designed correctly, fit for purpose, and can be manoeuvred safely from the delivery vehicle into its final location.

When working to buyers' design specifications and/or drawings, Kingsley Woodwork will not be held responsible for issues with design, functionality, stability, or unexpected wood movement. We endeavour to ensure all bespoke products are designed to our usual high standards; however, unexpected issues may arise without prior testing. During the design process, we may make recommendations to improve the functionality, finish, or stability of the design. Should an issue arise due to these recommendations being disregarded, it would be the buyer's responsibility to cover any costs involved in rectifying this.

Our recommended table sizes are based on a 450mm wide dining chair with a seat height of 450mm. If a customer's chair sizes differ from this, or the customer prefers more or less spacing for dining, the buyer should notify us of their preferred leg spacing.

Alterations or amendments made by a person or company not employed by Kingsley Woodwork once items have been delivered are done so at the buyer's own risk. Any resulting costs, complications, or damages are the buyer's responsibility.

We will manufacture items using the details on the design specification, or as stated on the order invoice and drawing where applicable. Details discussed over the phone, in person, or in emails may be missed — please ensure all details are included on the invoice or drawing. We cannot be held responsible if they have not been noted there. We do not provide drawings for all items.

The remaining 50% must be received in full before production begins. We will confirm the payment schedule with your proposal.

Production cannot begin until the balance has been received. Late payment may affect your scheduled production and delivery dates.

Occasionally there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, shipping charges, delivery estimates, and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information is inaccurate, at any time without prior notice.

06

Warranty

Warranty period
6 months

From delivery date, covering defective materials and workmanship

Claims deadline
In writing

With photographic evidence within the warranty period

In the unlikely event of a problem, Kingsley Woodwork offers a 6-month warranty from the delivery date, covering defective materials and workmanship. Claims should be sent in writing with photographic evidence to hello@kingsleywoodwork.co.uk within the warranty period. Kingsley Woodwork will assess and determine whether to repair or replace the item.

On-site repairs will be carried out by us subject to availability, within 3 weeks of being notified. Repairs and replacements done in the workshop will usually take 2 weeks, subject to stock availability and item design.

The warranty does not cover: defects or damages caused by fair wear and tear, misuse, negligence, or wilful damage; environmental factors; bespoke items that were not prototyped or tested; and natural variation in colour and grain in wood and steel.

It is recommended to use coasters and placemats to protect items. Damage caused by wet or hot items placed directly on the surface will not be covered by the warranty.

Wood is a natural material that will move seasonally and can cause gaps and shakes to open. This is natural and is not considered a defect.

Any alterations not endorsed by Kingsley Woodwork will void the warranty.

Shipping information

Currently, we only ship to mainland UK. Please note that additional shipping costs apply for orders to Scotland and Northern Ireland.

08

Product inspection & packaging

We take pride in ensuring our products are quality-checked before leaving our workshop. Upon delivery, please inspect your furniture carefully. Do not accept the items unless you are confident they have arrived in good condition. If you sign for the goods and later discover they are damaged, the courier company will not assume liability.

To ensure furniture arrives in the best possible condition, we carefully package each item. If you wish to return an order, it must be in its original condition and packaging. Retain all packaging until you are completely satisfied with your order — the delivery company will need to inspect it if any damage has occurred.
